GPT-3 has two new features: edit and insert. They allow you to modify an input based on instructions, and to insert content to an input at a certain position, respectively. How do they work? How reliable are they? Its acronym means Generative Pre-trained Transformer ( third generation ).
The term " Generative " indicates that it is an algorithm that generates content , in fact India Mobile Number Data we have seen many examples of how, starting from an input ( prompt ), GPT-3 is able to complete it with original text. However, there are other modes of completion , such as the EDIT ( modification ) and INSERT ( insertion ) capabilities. These new capabilities will be available for both GPT-3 and Codex . These new features make it practical to use the OpenAI API for revisions of existing content, for example for rewriting a paragraph or refactoring a block of code. In the image below, you can see how the two new modes have been added to the GPT-3 Playground. The modes available in the GPT-3 Playground The modes available in the GPT-3 Playground The first icon represents the " Completion " mode ( the method that was already present ), the second " Insert " and the third " Modify ".
The new features are in beta version, and as long as they are, use will remain free. Using "edit" and "insert" is free as long as they remain in beta Using "edit" and "insert" is free as long as they remain in beta The objective, in fact, is to collect as much feedback as possible to improve the functionality. Insertion into the text (insert) The new insert functionality allows you to add text, maintaining the context, within existing content . This approach can be useful when, for example, you use GPT-3 to generate a text of a certain length, and subsequently decide to extend some parts. Trying to insert it into the Playground is really simple. The interface presents a single text area into which it is possible to paste the content to be processed.
